I am using various artistic mediums such as digital, fine art, fashion design, photography and dance to represent my thoughts, findings, and journey. The world I am building through design is the paradigm shift that I have always seen in my head. Fashion design is the only art form that combines the human body with the art piece itself and with this combination I believe I can connect to peoples contents and desires to create a story of positive evolution that we can all participate in. Through the case study of my own life and its interaction with the world, I am finding a path towards self enlightenment and hopefully creating a beacon of inspiration through the experiencing of my work, visually, tactically, and emotionally. I use the human form to portray different feelings and textures of life. I’m very interested in the intersection of ancient forms of knowledge within the landscape of our hyper digital and post post modern world. I think it's possible for both of these modes of knowledge to co create our reality in harmony if we make sense of it together. Now, the human form and experience is viewed as rigid and finite, so I want to convey the fluid and infinite nature of all things, beings, and places through the creation and embodiment of clothing and its relationship to the body and the psyche. Through the retracing of steps, intentional reparations of self and community, and the conscious stripping of our programmed selves, we can raise consciousness. With my work, I intend to grasp peoples humanity and their rainbow of emotions in hopes they understand the story I tell and build upon their own. I hope to create a practice of mindfulness within my creation that will reverberate into the hands and hearts of my viewers and wearers.
